How do parents of international students apply for visas when visiting relatives in Japan?

It is relatively easy to help parents apply for a short-term (three-month) tourist visa to Japan. International students can also apply, but the instructions here are aimed at "social people"

First, find the Japanese embassy or consulate responsible for handling the case according to the parents' address, and then log on to its website to confirm the required materials. Of course, if possible, it is best to call (if you can get through) or run (if you can meet in person), but according to experience, Japanese government agencies have always explained the requirements clearly, so it is enough to check online.

I checked this time (in 2009), and the required materials are as follows:

Materials required by the applicant (parent)

Passport (valid)

visa application form

2 photos (length 4.5cm× width 3.5~ 4.5 cm, within 6 months).

Notarial certificate of kinship

Copy of household registration book

If the household registration is not within the jurisdiction of the embassy or consulate, you must submit a temporary residence permit and a copy (China household registration system kills people! )

note:

These materials must be provided with 1 original and 1 copy. The originals of (5) and (6) shall be returned to the applicant after confirmation. Therefore, applicants need to prepare 2 copies.

All materials are valid for 3 months.

Relevant materials of the identity guarantor

Proof of detailed information recorded in the original ticket (issued by government agencies such as regional service offices or municipal service offices)

Employment certificate (issued by the company)

The latest tax payment certificate issued by the mayor of the town records the total income of the whole year. Or a confirmation declaration with the seal of acceptance of the tax department. (If you don't declare clearly, you have to go to the district service office, the municipal service office and other government agencies to get the tax payment certificate. )

Photos, letters and other materials showing the relationship between the applicant and the inviter (just send an invitation letter, and send it with the materials)
