The US Federal Immigration Service was accused of "discriminating against men"

According to The New York Times's report on August 2 1, a senior immigration official in the United States recently filed a lawsuit against the Federal Office for Immigration, claiming that he was pushed out of a senior position by a junior woman just because he was "a man".

The American official named James T. Hayes Jr also accused Suzanne Barr, the female director of the immigration office, of "sexual assault", which created a hostile and discriminatory working environment for male employees.

A spokesman said that Barr left last week and was automatically on paid leave because of internal review of misconduct allegations.

In response to this incident, The New York Times said that the above allegations further increased the impression of internal chaos in the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which made people feel that there was a serious labor dispute between senior officials and employees of the agency. ICE is an agency of the Department of Homeland Security, which is responsible for detaining and repatriating illegal immigrants.
