How to study abroad after going to college
How to study abroad and in Britain after going to college;
The first option is to apply for the British University Foundation.
You know, if you want to go to the UK for an undergraduate course, you must pass the preparatory course before you can enter the formal undergraduate course. All British universities will open their applications to students who have completed senior three as long as they offer preparatory courses. However, the disadvantage is that some universities can apply as long as students finish their sophomore year, which wastes a year compared with students who have been studying in the UK since their sophomore year. Moreover, applying for matriculation does not mean that students have the ability to enter the formal undergraduate course through matriculation one year later. Students need to study hard to meet the learning requirements of majors and language skills in the preparatory stage in order to successfully enter the formal undergraduate course.
The second option is to apply for one-to-many preparatory courses in the UK.
The second scheme is called one-on-one college preparatory course. You choose your dream or favorite university to enter the preparatory course of the university. One-to-many form is to choose high school or the preparatory course of the education group, and you don't set the final target university. The biggest advantage is to match the corresponding universities according to your grades in the preparatory course, so that there will be no embarrassment that your grades in the preparatory course can't meet the requirements of the undergraduate course.
The third way is to choose the last year of a certain level of British high school.
This method requires students' own learning ability, such as excellent academic performance and outstanding IELTS ability. There are not many high schools in Britain that can offer A-level courses in the last year, and there are few choices, but the advantages are very obvious, because as we all know, A-level is similar to the British college entrance examination, and you can apply to all universities in Britain, including Oxford and Cambridge, based on the results of the college entrance examination.
Studying in the United States:
The first plan is to prepare for a one-year sat and TOEFL application in China for admission next fall.
TOEFL is a test of English language ability, and SAT is an American college entrance examination, which all students who want to enter American universities must take. This scheme can help children realize their dream of a famous school, but the bad thing is that students will waste a year.
The second scheme is that after the college entrance examination, some comprehensive universities in the United States can enroll students without TOEFL and SAT scores, and submit high school transcripts, high school diplomas and documents packaged by consultants to apply.
After entering the school, students pass the language test of the applicant institution and enter the university course directly without applying again. This scheme is quick, convenient, time-saving and labor-saving. Children can enter the university as scheduled in September, so parents and children can't hesitate to postpone the best application period in June and July. The disadvantage is that if students fail the school language test, they need to learn the language for half a year to 1 year.
The third option is to go to the college of arts and sciences first, and then transfer. The college of arts and sciences implements elite education, and almost every elite in the United States has some educational experience linked to it.
Some liberal arts colleges have transfer agreements with the top 50 schools in the United States, which can realize TOEFL-free and SAT-free transfer of 1+3 or 2+2. As long as students have clear goals and firmly grasp their GPA at school, 100% can transfer to a suitable prestigious school. The basic requirement of liberal arts college is TOEFL score of 79 or IELTS 6.0. In addition, the number of students in liberal arts colleges is small, the teacher-student ratio and class ratio are relatively low, teachers pay relatively high attention to students, and the academic atmosphere is good. Therefore, if children are weak in self-control or naughty, or parents are worried that their children will be adversely affected, the College of Arts and Sciences is a very good choice. The disadvantage is that if children can't provide suitable language scores, they need to learn the language for half a year to 1 year.
The fourth option is to go to the community college first, and then transfer.
Community colleges have relatively low admission requirements and tuition fees, and have transfer agreements with many TOP50 schools in the United States, which can realize 2+2 transfer. The basic requirement of community college is TOEFL 50 or IELTS 5.0. Study in a community college for two years to prepare for further professional courses, and then you can transfer to any four-year university. But the disadvantage is that community colleges are mixed, which requires students to have certain self-control ability and can resist bad temptations (such as computer games).
Studying in Australia:
The first option is that if the college entrance examination score has exceeded a local line, then you can directly apply for a freshman in Australia with the college entrance examination score.
Many universities in Australia recognize China's college entrance examination results, and many schools have low admission scores. There are already many schools for students with more than one line to choose from. After getting the report card of the college entrance examination, students can apply for the admission notice from 360 consultants studying in Australia, and then take the IELTS test. The IELTS test report can be obtained and handed over to the school for visa application.
The second scheme is that the students' college entrance examination results are not ideal, and they have not reached one line or two lines.
For students with particularly unsatisfactory results in the college entrance examination, they can apply for shortcut courses with their high school diplomas and high school transcripts. After completing the shortcut course, they can join their sophomore year, so the shortcut course does not extend the academic system. Among the top eight universities, the University of Adelaide, the University of Western Australia and Monash University have all offered crash courses, and Australia has also offered crash courses, but they cannot connect with business majors. Most of Samsung's four-star schools offer crash courses.
The third scheme is that the results of the college entrance examination are not satisfactory, but you still want to enter the top class, or enroll in some majors that cannot be connected with some crash courses.
We can start with the preparatory course. Preparatory courses can connect most undergraduate majors, and there is no need to provide college entrance examination results, and the IELTS requirements of preparatory courses will be lower, generally 5.5-6 points will be enough.
Studying in Canada:
Scheme 1: Undergraduate dual admission (language admission+undergraduate major admission) and junior college preparatory course (bridge course)
Double admission: In the case of insufficient IELTS scores, you can achieve double admission of both languages and undergraduate courses, and you don't need to prepare languages in China. You can successfully start your study in Canada in September, saving a lot of time and cost. Many students have been admitted to prestigious schools.
Scheme 2: 2+2 admission scheme of colleges+universities, prestigious schools+immigrants.
Many institutions in Canada have 2+2 admission schemes. The admission requirements of colleges and universities are not high. Without IELTS, you can learn the language first. As long as the average score of high school is above 75, you don't need to take the college entrance examination. Therefore, students can study in the college for two years and master practical skills. After two years, they can transfer to a famous university through the transfer plan to continue their subsequent two-year undergraduate study. Canadian colleges and many famous Canadian universities have transfer programs, so students and parents don't have to worry about transferring to dissatisfied universities.
Option 3: Enter the Canadian high school 12 grade, and easily enter the famous Canadian schools after one year.
Because there is no college entrance examination in Canada, the main reference for university admission is high school grades, especially grades 12. Many high schools in Canada have prestigious schools for further studies. Therefore, after children go to Canada to study 12 grade, they only need to focus on the sprint of 12 grade, and the difficulty of mathematics and physics courses abroad is lower than that in China. Therefore, it is easier for China students to get good grades, so when applying for universities, they only need to provide high school grades. In addition, the grades of 12 are generally excellent, and it will be easier to enter a prestigious school.
