Can mainlanders take the Hong Kong police exam?
At present, mainlanders cannot enter the Hong Kong police post. This is because the Hong Kong police are public officials belonging to the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and their recruitment and employment are carried out in accordance with the relevant laws, regulations and policies of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. In the civil service recruitment system of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, it is usually required that candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region or people with legal right of abode, but mainland residents are not included at present. Therefore, mainlanders are temporarily unable to obtain Hong Kong police posts.
