Shizuishan is a prefecture-level city in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

Shizuishan City is located in the north of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, bordering Inner Mongolia on the east, north and west, and Yinchuan City on the south. The Yellow River flows in Dongping and faces the majestic Helan Mountain in the west, so it is named after the intersection of Helan Mountain and the Yellow River where the rocks protrude like mouths.

Shizuishan City is located in the upper reaches of the middle reaches of the Yellow River, bordering Otog Banner in Inner Mongolia in the north. The historical evolution of Shizuishan;

From 65438 to 0956, the state decided to develop the rich coal resources in Shizuishan on a large scale. 1958, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region was established, and it was reported to the State Council to withdraw the county (Huinong County) to set up a city. On April 20th, 1959, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region submitted the Request for Instructions on Revoking Huinong County and Establishing Shizuishan City to the State Council.
