Can I apply for a student visa after working in Canada?

After graduation, students who graduate from Canadian public schools or specially approved private universities can get a post-graduation work visa (or "internship work visa") for up to three years.

The length of time a graduate can get a work visa is related to the length of time he studied in Canada:

Duration of study and work visa

You cannot apply for an internship visa for less than 8 months;

A work visa of more than 8 months and less than 2 years will be the same as studying abroad.

Two years, more than three years.

The work visa must be submitted within 90 days after graduation and within the validity period of the student visa. If the student visa expires, you must apply for restoration within 90 days after the student visa expires.

You don't need to provide an employer's invitation letter to apply for an internship visa, so there is no question of whether your major is related to your job. However, what the applicant does after getting the internship visa is related to the career orientation of applying for immigration in the future. Not all occupations can apply for immigration. Therefore, after obtaining the internship visa, the applicant must make plans in advance before starting to look for a job.

Applicants can consider applying for immigration after working on a work visa for a period of time after graduation. There are several immigration methods that applicants can consider, among which BC PNP ("BC Nomination Plan"), CEC (Canadian Experience Immigration) and Federal Skilled Workers (Federal Skilled Immigrants) are the most common.
