What is the Three Gorges Project?

The Three Gorges Project is the Three Gorges Hydropower Station, which is the Three Gorges Water Control Project on the Yangtze River. The Xilingxia reach of the Yangtze River in Yichang City, Hubei Province, China, and the Gezhouba Hydropower Station in the lower reaches form a cascade hydropower station. The Three Gorges Hydropower Station is the largest hydropower station and clean energy base in the world and the largest construction project in China.
