When Hong Kong people apply for a US visa, just like mainlanders, they have to fill in DS 160 on the US visa website before they can get a number that can be used for payment.

If you apply in the Mainland, you can pay in CITIC Bank. If you apply in Hong Kong, you can pay at any 7- 1 1 convenience store.

After paying the money, you can go back online and choose a time and place for an interview.

Before the interview, it is recommended to prepare some materials. Although the interviewer may not read your materials, not providing them when necessary may affect whether you can get a visa.
