Are there many China people living in Chiang Mai?
I should say China people, not China.
Chiang Mai is now mostly a migrant population, including a large number of tourists and migrant workers.
According to my observation, about 20% to 30% people in Chiang Mai are Chinese or Chinese descendants. They are mainly engaged in tourism-related service industries, and some are engaged in trade business.
Because Thailand's immigration policy is very harsh, there are basically no immigrants, and most of them are foreign tourists.
The Chinese in Chiang Mai are basically the second or third generation.
