Way out one: study at a domestic undergraduate university.

Way out 2: Studying abroad

Interpretation: There are many ways to study abroad, including studying abroad 0+4, studying abroad 1+4, studying abroad 2+2, studying abroad 3+ 1, and studying abroad 3+2 for a master's degree or a graduate student.

(1) 0+4 scheme for direct study abroad (0 years at home+4 years abroad)

Need to prepare 1-2 years in advance: American famous schools need to have SAT and language (TOEFL or IELTS) scores, and the application deadline for famous schools is generally about ten months in advance. They need to get ideal grades (SAT 2000 or above, TOEFL 100 or above) in the second half of senior two to apply for foreign universities, so that they can successfully enter foreign universities after graduation from senior three.

British and Australian senior high school students in China are required to reach AAA or AAB or IELTS 7 or above in A-level. You need to prepare for these two kinds of exams from the first year of high school.

Disadvantages: China's secondary education is recognized as the best basic education in the world. In order to obtain ideal language scores and general education certificate advanced level examination results, students will inevitably spend a lot of time studying, even affecting the study of domestic middle school courses and delaying the college entrance examination; High school fees (international high schools and language training courses are expensive, with an average of more than 300,000 per year). Going abroad too early and being young is not conducive to character building and stability.

If you go abroad to study directly after the college entrance examination, it is easy to have a weak language foundation, unable to integrate with domestic education and unable to understand foreign thinking patterns.

(2) 1+3 preparation for studying abroad (1 year at home +3 years abroad)

After studying English in China for one year, students master the language on the basis of preparatory education (TOEFL and IELTS choose the direction of destination country) and are admitted to foreign universities conditionally or unconditionally after passing the one-year exam.

Advantages: make up for the lack of language, and at the same time study professional courses to a certain extent as a transition to studying abroad.

Adaptive crowd: students with strong adaptability and self-control.

Disadvantages: Compared with 2+2, 3+ 1, 3+2 or 4+0, the cost of studying abroad is higher. Students' own language ability is insufficient, and it is difficult to adapt to the study and life abroad in a short time, resulting in a low pass rate of preparatory courses. Students whose English scores in the college entrance examination are below 125 are not recommended.

At present, there is a mixture of 1+3 in China. Because one-year study focuses on language training, schools, domestic training institutions and foreign language centers can all be run at different levels. Some educational institutions rent hotels and offices in schools and enroll students in the name of schools. The quality of preparatory education in China is not the same as the teaching environment of preparatory programs abroad, so parents and students must be careful when choosing.

In addition, the preparatory course emphasizes language learning, which does not require high academic performance and ability of students. Students at all levels can enter the school, which easily leads to a weak learning atmosphere in the whole class. As a result, it is often difficult for students with good academic performance to make great progress, and students with low academic performance are not motivated, forming a vicious circle.

Preparatory study abroad belongs to non-academic education, and most preparatory study abroad in China is run by companies, and universities cooperate with companies. Universities provide brands, school venues, etc. The Ministry of Education will not record the qualifications of universities or intermediaries for studying abroad.

(3)2+2 cooperative education (2 years at home+2 years abroad)

2. Unplanned 2+2

2+2 course adopts the curriculum system and teaching plan widely recognized by American universities, and is completed in two stages: domestic and foreign. Foreign cooperative universities are regular American universities with mutual recognition of Chinese and foreign academic qualifications, and most of the domestic contracted universities are national key universities. Students who pass two-year domestic courses will go abroad directly to continue their undergraduate courses. Obtained a bachelor's degree certificate and was certified by the Ministry of Education of China.

You can go to a famous American school, and the diploma has a high gold content; Obtained a bachelor's degree certificate in 4 years and was certified by the Ministry of Education; Exempt from taking the SAT test, saving preparation time; Two years in China will save the cost of studying abroad.

Disadvantages: the requirements for students to enter school are relatively high. For example, Beihang 2+2 requires students to achieve 1 10 in English before they can enter the school without examination.

(4) continuous study abroad for 3+2 years (3 years at home and 2 years abroad)

Students who pass the three-year domestic course will go to Britain to continue their studies for two years, and if they graduate, they will get a master's degree.

Advantages: low cost of studying abroad, short study time and internationally recognized academic qualifications.

Disadvantages: No undergraduate diploma.

(5) Studying in hnd for 3+ 1+ 1 (3 years in China+1 or 2 years abroad).

Disadvantages: HND is a British higher education diploma. The universities that students choose to go abroad are mainly British universities, and there are few docking universities in other countries.

Foreign universities' undergraduate counterparts are mostly ranked after 100 in the world, so it is recommended to enter famous foreign universities through graduate school. For example, the 3+2 students studying in Beihang University include Oxford, Imperial College, London School of Economics and Political Science and other famous schools.

(6) Studying abroad 4+0 (4 years in China)

Students who have completed the whole four-year teaching process in China can obtain a bachelor's degree certificate issued by foreign universities after graduation.

According to the regulations of Ministry of Education 20 10 on the identification of international students, the undergraduate diploma obtained by students in the 4+0 study abroad program can not be certified and they cannot enjoy the experience of international students.
