How does Macron view the fight against terrorism?

On August 29th, French President Macron said that his foreign policy will focus on France's "security, independence and influence", and that combating terrorism and ensuring the safety of the French people are the top priorities of French diplomacy.

Macron made the above remarks at the annual meeting of French diplomatic envoys abroad. This is the first time that he has publicly and systematically expounded his foreign policy since he officially took office as French president in May this year.

Macron announced that in order to eradicate terrorism, he would organize a meeting at the beginning of 20 18 to strengthen the capital flow network to fight terrorism. He said that in order to better combat terrorism, France will start a dialogue with all parties.

Macron also said that Africa is a major focus of French diplomacy, and the Maghreb region remains the priority direction of French politics, economy and culture. In order to solve the immigration problem, France will strive to build an axis of "uniting Africa, the Mediterranean and Europe".

Macron also expressed appreciation for France-China relations. He said that he hopes to maintain a strong relationship between the two sides based on historical traditions.
