If you want to visit relatives and friends in Norway or Schengen countries for less than 90 days, it is recommended to apply for a short-term visa. The longest stay is 90 days. Under normal circumstances, the processing time of Norwegian visa is 7 calendar days, but if the application needs to be sent to the Immigration Bureau for further examination, the processing time is 6 months or even longer. All applicants for visiting relatives and friends should apply for it themselves.

Materials needed for visiting relatives and friends in Norway

Remarks: All visa materials are in duplicate, in the following order.

1. Passports require that visas be valid for at least 90 days after the validity period.

9. Note: All materials must be original and translated into English or Norwegian. If necessary, it must be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China. Applicants need to come to the embassy for an interview if necessary. When the visa is approved, the applicant should produce the following original documents to obtain the visa. Original and photocopy of valid regular round-trip air ticket. One original and one copy of valid English travel medical insurance policy (the scope must include all Schengen countries, and the minimum amount per person is RMB 300,000 or EUR 30,000). It must also cover possible medical expenses, first aid expenses and repatriation expenses for health reasons). Two days after submitting the air ticket and insurance, the applicant can get a visa at the embassy.
