Is the Russian skinhead very powerful?

The slogan of "skinheads" is: Russia is Russia's Russia. They advocate the supremacy of Russians (whites), hate all "non-Russians living in Russia" and advocate violence. Every year around April 20th (that is, Hitler's birthday) is the most rampant period of skinhead activities.

The "skinhead party" has a strict organizational system. According to the length of time, it is divided into "left wing" and "right wing". "Left-wing skinheads" refer to those members who have just entered Taoism. These people must attack 10 to 20 "Russian national enemies" to become real "skinheads". Those skinheads with the longest experience are called "right-wing skinheads", and they are generally the backbone of Russia's most notorious skinhead party organization.

The "skinheads" initially attacked mainly blacks and yellow people, and even whites were not spared. The initial attack was limited to cursing foreigners or picking fights with foreigners, but it was not fatal. However, in the second half of 1990s, skinheads began to hide, and their arrogance became more and more arrogant. They often kill innocent people in broad daylight, causing a series of violent incidents that shocked Russia and even the world. Skinheads generally don't beat women, but after the establishment of one of their organizations, Russian Girls, foreign women can't escape the clutches of skinheads.

The present situation of "skinheads"

At present, there are more than 40 ultra-right organizations active in Russia, of which 16 is manipulated by extremists, and its followers reach 500,000, especially skinheads. According to the report of the International Human Rights Commission at the end of 2005, there are about 654.38 million skinheads in the world, including 50,000 in Russia, accounting for a full half! They are spread all over Russia in the form of criminal gangs, and their main activity centers are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Rostov, Nizhny Novgorod and other places. Among them, Moscow and St. Petersburg are its two major centers. For example, there are 5,000 to 5,500 people in Moscow's "skinhead corps", "blood and honor Russian detachment" and "88 United".

The biggest faction of skinheads is the Russian National Unity Party. This party almost completely imitates Hitler's Nazi party, with young people in the majority, well-dressed, gestures, wearing a "fascist" red armband, based on the Russian nation, and pursuing extreme nationalism. The party founded its own newspaper, Commando, and used it as a position to publicize the party's religious purpose. The party also tried to set up its own radio station, but later it was aborted due to financial and other problems.

The founder of this party is Alexander Baka Schouw. According to his own account, the party now has hundreds of thousands of party member (actually not so many), mainly concentrated in the Moscow area. Although Nazi organizations are active in some big cities in Russia, they are basically in a fragmented situation, and it is difficult to form a scale and great influence. Therefore, Balka Schouw holds a "National Congress" every year to make a unified plan of political action and discuss the preparation and expenditure of the Party's activities.

Why are you so arrogant?

Why do skinheads breed and spread in Russia and become so arrogant? There are probably the following reasons:

First of all, the rising nationalist sentiment in Russia provides a breeding ground for it. Russia is not an immigrant country. In recent years, immigrants have been increasing, while their population is decreasing year by year. The "sense of national crisis" makes some people's xenophobia very serious. A survey shows that "black hair" is the most rejected by Moscow people, namely Chechens, Armenians and Georgians in the Caucasus, followed by China people and yellow-skinned Vietnamese. In addition, foreigners of Latin descent such as blacks, South Americans and Spaniards are also excluded.

Second, some political factions or politicians waved flags and shouted. Before every major election in Russia, there are always politicians competing to play the banner of "exclusion" in order to compete for power. The skinheads also realized that they were welcomed by some Russian politicians. Some of their leaders openly claim to act according to the wishes of some members of the State Duma, and often "hint" that there are people in the Kremlin who support their plans.

Third, the police let themselves go and let them have nothing to fear. In the final analysis, the Russian police's laissez-faire policy is hard to blame for the rapid development of skinheads in 10.

Russia lacks legal provisions against similar extremist organizations. Putin once pointed out that at present, "Russian courts and police have no very effective way to punish the organizers and participants of these criminal activities by law." The Russian government's consistent attitude towards skinheads once caused serious diplomatic disputes. In fact, what Russia lacks is a full understanding of the dangers of skinheads.
