Why is Mazu belief an emotional and cultural bond connecting compatriots on both sides of the strait? This has nothing to do with Mazu belief

Mazu culture originated in Meizhou, Fujian Province, then immigrated to Taiwan Province Province and took root in Taiwan Province Province. Mazu, also known as "Tian Fei" and "Tianhou" and commonly known as "Poseidon Goddess", is the legendary goddess in charge of maritime shipping. Mazu, formerly known as Maureen, was born in Putian, Fujian on March 23, 1960, and died on September 9, 1987 at the age of 28.
