Is it really like spring in Singapore?
I lived and worked in Singapore for four years from 1996 to 2000, and I feel I have a say in Singapore. Singapore has advertisements all over the world: Singapore has four seasons like spring. In fact, Singapore, an equatorial country, has no four seasons at all, because the highest temperature every day is above 30 degrees (often close to 37 or 8 degrees), which literally means that the four seasons are like summer. Foreigners in Singapore joked that there are only three seasons in Singapore, that is, hot, hot, hotter and hottest. I took my wife and son from Japan, which has four distinct seasons, to hot and humid Singapore without inspection, and then walked out of the gate of Changi Airport, and immediately realized what a "heat wave strikes people" was. During the day, the equatorial sun shines on the body with only one word: pain. If people stay outdoors without sun protection, they can only stay in the department for ten minutes at most. My favorite swimming and ball games can only be played at night when the sun goes down. Because of the hot weather, I don't do much exercise (walk for more than ten minutes) and often don't walk by car. Speaking of cars in Singapore, it's a long topic. Simply put, a car of the same brand is four to five times more expensive in Singapore than in Japan and the United States, so it is a symbol of status and status. Now everyone understands why the American boy who painted the car was whipped. It's a pity that most Americans still can't figure it out and drink too much. In less than half a year, everyone in a family of three has gained at least 10 kg. In addition, we have to turn on the air conditioner when we sleep at night (the lowest temperature in our impression has never dropped to 28 degrees), and everyone becomes weak and disgusting. My wife complains that four summers a year is sixteen years (especially in Singapore). Finally, after working hard in Singapore for four years, the whole family made up their minds to give up the Singapore green card and high-paying position they got in less than half a year and immigrate to Vancouver. My wife vowed never to go back to Singapore in my life. The most effective way for me to scare my son now is to "send you back to Singapore if you don't obey!" My son became a good boy at once.
