Min is a typical Han surname, ranking193rd in the current surname list, with a population of about 640,000, accounting for 0.04% of the total population of China. Min is also a Han surname.

In the ancient Zhou Dynasty, after the death of Duke Zhuang of Lu, his son Qi became the monarch. At that time, he was very young. He was killed only two years later. Later, the royal family gave him a title called Lu Mingong. Min means pity, pity and sadness. Fortunately, Lu Mingong had an only son, and later his descendants took Min as their surname.
