Liang Xiaohua has carried out a lot of engineering practices, including: seismic zoning of urban development zones, oil fields, industrial and mining sites, ports and other sites; Seismic safety evaluation of major projects such as nuclear power plants, hydropower stations, thermal power plants, refineries, shallow sea platforms, sea-crossing bridges, highways, high-rise buildings, etc. Especially in recent 10 years, a lot of research work has been done on seismic geology, ground motion input and seismic safety evaluation of major water conservancy and hydropower projects in western China.
