Plot introduction

The story happened in the late 1980s. Victor (Tom Hanks) is Slovenian. In order to fulfill his father's last wish, he got the 40th autograph of Fantasy Jazz and came to America. He learned the news of the war in his motherland at the airport.

Victor's passport and identity documents, as well as immigration documents, were useless. He was detained at the airport. In an instant, Victor became an isolated man without a country and a home, and he became a victim of international political changes. During Victor's detention at the airport, he had only two choices: either to return to the motherland, but after the coup in his country, he no longer admitted that he was a national who had gone through immigration procedures; Either get a valid certificate and immigrate to the United States, but his certificate is obviously invalid and cannot be replaced.

Standing in this country that doesn't belong to him, Victor can't help but feel confused when he looks at strangers coming and going. In desperation, he can only stay at the airport, sleep in the chair in the hall, take a bath in the bathroom and make a living by serving passing passengers. All he has now is his illiberal body and a small suitcase, which contains a change of clothes, a razor and paid identification.

By chance, Victor meets the beautiful stewardess Amelia (Catherine Zeta-Jones). Amelia unconsciously fell in love with Victor and was puzzled by her thoughts. Victor started looking for a job in order to have dinner with Amelia, and gradually she fell in love with this exquisite and simple man. It seems that a "blessing in disguise, a blessing in disguise" has been staged.

Plot introduction

Frank Bagnott (Leonardo DiCaprio), who is good at forging documents, was deeply hit when his parents divorced and he was under the age of 18. Lonely and sad, he began to forge checks to defraud cash. He succeeded again and again, writing bad checks with a total amount of up to $6 million in 50 States of the United States and 28 countries around the world, becoming the youngest criminal on the wanted list in the United States over the years. Soon after, he pretended to be a pilot, so that he could take an advanced plane and stay in an advanced hotel. Later, he became an emergency doctor in a hospital in Georgia with a forged Harvard medical degree certificate. There, he quickly fell in love with a nurse named Brayda (Amy Maddens), and then Frank Bagnott followed his girlfriend to her hometown of New Orleans.

As a prosecutor, Brayda's father (Martin Xu) heard that Frank Baguenault graduated from the Law Department of the University of California, Berkeley. He was glad that his daughter found such a boyfriend, so he arranged for him to be an assistant prosecutor. Frank Bagnott is also satisfied with his present job. Just as he wanted to get the Louisiana Law Qualification Examination through his own efforts, Joe Schafer (Tom Hanks), a persistent FBI investigator, took a fancy to it. Fortunately, Frank Bagnott always used the law to protect himself in front of Joe Schaefer, teasing Joe Schaefer again and again by telephone and postcards.

Interestingly, although Frank Bagnott and Joe Schaefer don't admit it, they are strikingly similar: both like to spend lonely Christmas on the phone, both are alienated from their families, and both seem to like this game of chasing and being chased. Joe Schaefer sympathized with Frank Bagnott and committed so many crimes, but he was not yet 20 years old, but Joe Schaefer couldn't stand being teased by him again and again.

Finally, Frank Baguenault Jr. didn't escape from the law, but the way he escaped from the FBI again and again was talked about by people.
