Plot introduction

The story happened in the late 1980s. Victor (Tom Hanks) is Slovenian. In order to fulfill his father's last wish, he got the 40th autograph of Fantasy Jazz and came to America. He learned the news of the war in his motherland at the airport.

Victor's passport and identity documents, as well as immigration documents, were useless. He was detained at the airport. Frank Bagnott (Leonardo DiCaprio), who is good at forging documents, was deeply hit when his parents divorced and he was under the age of 18. Lonely and sad, he began to forge checks to defraud cash.
