Deep in the mountains of Jilin, this disturbed "paradise" is populated entirely by "Shandong people"

There are 150 traditional villages in Jilin with typical regional characteristic landscapes. The most distinctive one is Zhenzhenmen Village, Northwest Huashan Town, Linjiang City, Baishan City. It is about 24 kilometers northwest of Linjiang City. It is also 20 kilometers away from Huashan Town Government.

Zhenzhenmen Village is very beautiful. It is a section of the Changbai Mountains extending deep into the Songling Mountains, with an average altitude of about 1,000 meters.

"Appreciating pear blossoms in spring, picking mountain treasures in summer, watching maples in autumn, and appreciating the snow in winter" is the unique style here, especially the snow scenery. The first snow begins in late October, and the final snow falls in mid-April of the next year. There is a snow accumulation period of nearly half a year, with the snow depth ranging from 0.5 meters to 2 meters.

There are only more than 100 households in the small mountain village. Strangely, it seems that in order to enjoy the beautiful scenery alone, the village does not communicate much with the outside world. In other words, they have a kind of escaping mentality.

Therefore, even less than 5 kilometers away from the small mountain village is the famous Pearl Gate Scenic Area, where many films such as "Five Golden Flowers" and "Lin Hai Snow Field" were filmed.

But here, the years are still peaceful.

Perhaps thanks to this detached attitude towards life, Zhenzhumen Village has been able to retain relatively complete natural and human resources, especially its traditional and unique dialects, handicrafts, customs, farming culture, and daily life. Ways and so on.

When arriving in this small mountain village with just over a hundred households, the first thing that surprises people is the accent of the villagers here: a pure Shandong flavor.

After talking, you will find that this is an authentic "Chuangguandong" village, where all immigrants from Shandong live. And they were deceived from Shandong into coming here to build the Ya-Da Railway in the 1930s.

The Ya-Da Railway is affiliated to the Shenyang Railway Bureau. It starts from Yayuan Town in Tonghua City and ends at Dalizi Town at the China-North Korea Port. It has a total length of 134 kilometers and 13 stations along the way, including Pearl Gate Station. .

This railway was built by the Japanese in the 1930s in order to plunder the forest resources in the Changbai Mountain area. It was contracted by the Fengtian Construction Office of the then Fengtian Railway General Administration, and Japanese contractors organized the construction.

In order to build this railway, most of the road construction workers at that time were tricked from Shandong, Hebei, Liaoning and other places. The construction site was heavily guarded, and the workers worked day and night on their backs. Relevant data show that from April 1938 to July 1940, there were 113,000 workers, and more than 8,400 people were tortured to death.

Later, the surviving Shandong workers settled nearby, and later, some Shandong people who "explored Guandong" came one after another. This is the origin of today's Zhenzhumen Village.

Unlike other parts of Northeast China where fellow villagers who "traveled to Shandong" are gradually returning to Shandong, Shandong people here rarely go out, and few return to their hometown in Shandong. They are here in a paradise-like place, accompanied by mountains and rivers, and the years are peaceful.

However, I don’t know since when, these peaceful days gradually disappeared. The initiators should be those photography enthusiasts who discovered this paradise by chance.

Later, the Baishan Young Photographers Association also set up a creative base here and hung up the sign of "Chinese Snow Village", and the small mountain village became lively.

Later, a tourism development company brand was put up here, and villagers were strongly encouraged to open family hotels, hoping to use small rural tourism to leverage large-scale tourism and allow villagers to live a wealthy life.

This initiative also received rapid response, and the number of hotels in the village quickly grew to nearly a hundred. In other words, almost every household has turned their house into a hotel where they feel at home.

The kindness, simplicity and hospitality of Shandong people have also made this small mountain village more and more famous and attracted more and more tourists. Here, the rising smoke in the early morning, the igloo under the sunset, the warm Kang, and the pesticide-free ingredients have made "Songling Snow Village" a resounding business card for the tourism industry.

The small mountain village became lively, and the villagers had more money in their pockets. However, in the eyes of many old people in the village, there is also a little regret.

Because the old village has become unfamiliar: the country roads that have been traveled for a lifetime have become asphalt roads, and the cement roads have been cut and straightened to occupy the farmland. Even the most traditional houses scattered high and low on the ridge are rare. The traditional natural green gradually turns into a hard cement gray.
