How many people have been transferred from the Three Gorges Dam?

By June 4, 2023, more than 1.27 million people had been relocated from the Three Gorges Dam.

According to the data of Yichang Municipal People's Government, the Three Gorges Project has resettled 1.27 million people, and the resettlement task has been basically completed. The Three Gorges resettlement work is shifting from the stage of large-scale relocation and resettlement to a new era of "being stable and rich".

The Three Gorges Dam is located in Sandouping Town, Yichang City, Hubei Province, China, 38km away from the downstream Gezhouba Water Control Project, which is the largest hydropower project in the world.
