The first category: IELTS test

The academic category is applicable to: all English intensive courses/preparatory courses/language courses/other courses below the undergraduate level of British universities apply for and obtain professional qualifications.

Training is applicable to: English-speaking countries applying for immigration, or applying for training and non-diploma courses. Training exams focus on basic language skills for survival in a wide range of social and educational environments, rather than language skills needed for academic research.

The third category: life skills.

Applicable to: UK visa applications for spouse and family visits.
