North University for Nationalities (NMU) is located in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, directly under the State Ethnic Affairs Commission of the People's Republic of China. It is a university jointly established by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, the Ministry of Education, the China Academy of Sciences and the People's Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and supported by Hefei University of Technology. It has been selected into the first batch of universities implementing the National College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Plan, the first batch of new engineering research and practice projects of the Ministry of Education, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Business Incubator Demonstration Base, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Science and Technology Business Incubator, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Double Creation Demonstration Base, National Business Incubation Demonstration Base and National Youth Entrepreneurship Demonstration Park, and is a member university of the Silk Road University Alliance.
