Which country are Japanese-Americans from?

Japanese Americans refer to people whose ancestors are Japanese but whose nationality is American. Legally speaking, they are American citizens and are protected by American law. Many of them don't even know much about Japan. The so-called Japanese people just want to separate them from the Chinese, Germans, Africans, etc. It means that their ancestors are Japanese and they have Japanese blood flowing in them. So they are Americans.
