Yinchuan dialect problem

Yinchuan is an immigrant city. At the time of statistics in 2004, the local population of Ningxia only accounted for 13%. Basically, they came from the northwest in the 1960s to provide for the aged and set up factories in Yinchuan. Therefore, the Xixia District now is basically immigrants and descendants of that era, so most people speak Mandarin.

Yinchuan also has dialects. Because of the above reasons, few people speak dialects in Xixia District, and there are many in xingqing district, but they usually speak Mandarin in public places for the convenience of communication.
