● 1904 (30th year of Guangxu). Xiong Xiling, an official of the Qing government, went to Weishan with Wen Jun and decided to improve Liling porcelain industry.
● 1905 (thirty-one year of Guangxu). The Qing government approved Xiong's submission and allocated 18200 yuan from the state treasury to establish Hunan Porcelain School and Hunan Porcelain Company.
