I suggest that you apply for an online banking MONZO card (which can be found in the Appstore) when you come. You can use it immediately after the application is successful, and then apply for a bank card from Lloyd's, Barclays or HSBC offline.

8. Oyster Transport Card

Oyster is suitable for most means of transportation in London. You can take the subway, bus, tram, DLR and train in London 1-9.

The deposit is 5 pounds. You can refund the deposit and recharge the card when you return it. The amount in the card is always valid.

Ordinary oyster cards can be purchased at any subway station. If you have just arrived in London, you can buy it from the self-service card vending machine and manual ticket window at Heathrow airport metro Station.
