Is Singapore visa-free?

Singapore is not visa-free.

Whether going to Singapore for work or tourism, you need to apply for a Singapore visa. A Singapore visa is an endorsement or stamp on the passport or other travel documents held by the sovereign authority of the country or foreign citizens to express permission. It can also be said that it is an endorsement-type certificate issued to them when they enter or exit the country's borders or go through border procedures.

In summary, a Singapore visa is a document issued by Singapore’s entry-exit management agency to express approval of entry to foreign citizens. On May 15, 2015, the Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority announced that starting from June 1, the validity period of Chinese citizens holding Singapore multiple-entry visas will be extended to 10 years. The application process and fees remain unchanged.
