Age requirements for applying for social work certificate

According to the different positions recruited by social workers, applicants must be over 18 years old and under 40 years old; under 35 years old; and 30 years old and under.

Social Worker Certificate: The state provides professionals who engage in specialized social services in social service agencies such as social welfare, social assistance, social charity, disability rehabilitation, special care and placement, health services, youth services, and judicial corrections. Technical personnel shall implement a professional level evaluation system and be included in the unified planning of the national professional and technical personnel vocational qualification certificate system.

The professional level evaluation of social workers is divided into three levels: assistant social worker, social worker and senior social worker. Those who have obtained a social worker professional level certificate through professional level evaluation are certificates indicating that they have the level and ability to work in corresponding professional and technical positions.

(1) Registration conditions for assistant social worker examination:

1. Obtain a high school or technical secondary school degree and engage in social work for at least 4 years;

2. Obtain a college degree in social work and have been engaged in social work for at least 2 years;

3. Fresh graduates of a bachelor's degree in social work (including those who have obtained a bachelor's degree or above in social work);

4. Obtain a college degree in other majors and engage in social work for at least 4 years;

5. Obtain a bachelor's degree or above in other majors and engage in social work for at least 2 years.

(2) Registration conditions for the Social Worker Examination:

1. After obtaining a high school or technical secondary school degree and obtaining the professional level certificate of an assistant social worker, engage in social work for at least 6 years;

2. Obtain a college degree or above in social work and have been engaged in social work for at least 4 years;

3. Obtain a bachelor's degree in social work and have been engaged in social work for at least 3 years;

4. Obtain a master's degree in social work and have been engaged in social work for at least 1 year;

5. Obtain a doctorate in social work;

6. For those who have obtained a college degree or above in other majors, their years of social work experience will be increased by 2 years accordingly.
