On February 7, 2000, the National Immigration Bureau announced that with the implementation of policies and measures to optimize entry-exit management after novel coronavirus was infected with "Category B tube" and the full resumption of personnel exchanges between the mainland and Hong Kong and Macao on February 17, the number of people entering and leaving the country reached 676,000. Entry and exit means that citizens of a country leave the country from a port open to the outside world or a designated port with valid certificates and visas, enter other countries and regions, or return to their own countries or regions with the approval of the competent authorities of their own government.
