Who can distinguish IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, TEM4 and TEM8?

IELTS and TOEFL are both English proficiency tests, and there is no difference in importance. From the perspective of recognition, IELTS is a globally recognized international English proficiency test, while TOEFL is more recognized by the United States, so the recognition of TOEFL is far less than IELTS. In the form of examination, IELTS is a paper-and-pencil test, which is more suitable for China candidates, while TOEFL is changed into a rare computer test to reduce the operating cost of the test, which is not suitable for candidates. Generally speaking, IELTS is the English language standard for immigration application or study abroad application.

GRE and GMAT are American postgraduate entrance examinations, GRE is science and engineering, and GMAT is management.

Band 4 and Band 8 are English proficiency tests for English majors, and other non-English majors can't take them (unless you are a second English major).
