What are the detailed steps to apply for a study visa in Thailand?
First, the application process of studying abroad visa in Thailand
1. Apply for universities in Thailand
Take the University of Baton Thani as an example, the required application materials include: application form, undergraduate or master's diploma, notarial certificate, bachelor's degree certificate or master's degree certificate, notarial certificate, report card, notarial certificate, passport and recent one-inch photo.
2. Get an offer through review.
After receiving the application for admission, Thai universities will conduct a series of audits. After meeting the admission conditions, they will issue an admission notice, which will indicate the student's name, passport number, college major and registration time. Offer is not only used to report to the school, but also an important voucher for applying for a visa to study abroad.
Apply for a study visa
After getting the offer, you can start to apply for a study visa in Thailand. The materials required to apply for a visa are:
Original and photocopy of the applicant's passport valid for more than 6 months.
② Color bareheaded photos with white background in recent 6 months.
(3) Declaration signed by the applicant (the declaration document can be downloaded when the online system applies).
(4) notarized certificate of the highest education in China, Britain/Thailand.
⑤ The admission notice issued by Thai universities should be signed by the person in charge, and the information of the signatory's ID card or passport should be attached.
⑥ Registration documents of Thai universities.
⑦ Financial certificate: bank deposit certificate (provide deposit certificate of not less than RMB 50,000 and frozen for more than 6 months).
Certificate of tuition payment issued by colleges and universities.
(9) produce transcripts and attendance reports of previous courses (only applicable to applicants who apply for non-ed visas within two years)
Prepare the required materials and send them to the local Thai consulate in China.
It is particularly important to note that the validity period of the study visa from China to Thailand is 90 days. After arriving in Thailand, you need to bring an invitation letter from the school to the Immigration Bureau of Thailand for renewal, and the renewal will be valid for one year.
Second, the main types of visas in Thailand
1. Work visa: It is reported that generally, you need to find a job to apply for a work visa, and the work permit assisted by your company is valid. If you work in a company, you will change to another company with that company's work permit. This work permit is useless, and usually when you leave your job, the company will cancel your work permit, because you can't leave your job alone, and they will help you pay taxes, insurance and other expenses every month. After the work permit is cancelled, the work visa on your passport is still valid (unless you fall out with the company, they will cancel the visa at the immigration office and leave the country within 24 hours after the visa is cancelled). You can stay until your visa expires and then leave the country. If you don't want to leave the country, you can change it into a student visa through a travel agency.
Apply for a work visa, preferably a business visa in China. Some people apply for tourist visas and then change them into business visas in Thailand (if they can't do it themselves, they need to find a travel agency unless they are teachers in government schools and have the approval of the Ministry of Education). In this way, when they apply for a work permit, they will encounter problems, that is, the company information when the business visa is changed does not match the company information for the work permit. At this time, they need to find a relationship to do it, or they will go back to China to apply for a visa again.
3. Student visa: those who apply for a business visa to enter Thailand can change to a 1 year student visa, and the tourist visa needs to be changed to a business visa, whereas it used to be a work visa, and those who want to stay in Thailand after leaving the company can change to a student visa. Originally an international student, if you want to stay in Thailand after graduation, you can continue to apply for a student visa.
International students in Thailand want to stay and work in Thailand after graduation, but they face visa problems. Some graduation visas are about to expire, and some have a few months left. In this case, they can extend their visas for one year through the travel agency. If you find a job and want to apply for a work permit, there is no other way but to return to China first and then apply for a business visa.
6. Visa on arrival: If you enter Thailand in other countries or Hong Kong and Macao (there is no visa for Thailand in other parts of the country or a visa for a third country is not allowed to leave the country), you can apply for a visa on arrival at the airport or other border crossings and stay for 15 days. If you need a short stay, you can go to the immigration office for an extension of 7 days; If you want to stay longer, you need to apply for a special extension from a travel agency, and you can apply for 1-3 months. However, visas on arrival cannot be converted into other visas.
Third, Thailand visa renewal.
1, renewal of study visa
Students studying in Thailand should apply for renewal of their study visa at the Immigration Bureau 20 days before your visa expires. During my study in Thailand, I need to make a 90-day report every three months. This project does not need any cost.
When applying for renewal, students need to prepare their 2-inch photos with white background and complete and detailed visa renewal application form. If you don't know enough, every university in Thailand also has corresponding teachers who are responsible for the extension of international students' visas. For more details, you can ask the teacher in charge of visa affairs, or you can ask an experienced senior with higher qualifications than you.
2. Return visa processing and return guide.
If the study visa used by students during their study in Thailand has not expired, there is another way. We can apply for your return visa at the immigration office or directly at the airport, so that students can continue to use the remaining validity period of your original study visa when they return to Thailand.
There are usually several places where you can apply for a return visa. First, you can re-enter the country from the counter at Bangkok airport. The airport handles these services from 6 am to 0 pm. The second is to handle it at the immigration office in Thailand. The processing time here is from 8: 30 am to 4: 00 pm. Students who need to apply should pay attention to the processing time of each place.
In addition, you need to prepare a 2-and-a-half-inch photo to apply for a return visa. There is a handling fee and it is not expensive. The handling fee at the airport is about 1 1,200 baht, while the immigration office needs 1 1,000 baht. Then you have to fill out an application form.
