How to prepare for IELTS intellectual care?
Question:
The speed of memorizing words is slow-because of the abundant time, I memorized the awl intermittently for about three months (total *** 1200 words, 570 letters)!
Methods of memorizing words-Because awl is a list of words out of context, these words can know their meanings after memorizing, but they are soon forgotten (especially when I started memorizing new words). It seems that there are exercises on the corresponding words in the awl vocabulary, but I didn't find them at that time, so the words I remember are very unreliable. The awl vocabulary is abstract and difficult to remember.
I remember word records in a word software.
By 2065438+June 2009, I finally realized that I was too slow to remember words. . .
Improvement:
Focus on the time memory of words, don't fight for a long time, get it done as soon as possible, so as not to forget it later.
Memorize words in batches by using contexts and scenes. After remembering a scene classification, you can watch documentaries related to that scene classification to deepen your memory.
At this time, I changed a vocabulary book of about 3500 words and began to remember it, but its vocabulary was classified according to the scene, which was much better than the previous awl. I decided to spend a month or so reciting this book (during which I watched some bbc documentaries to strengthen the memory of vocabulary in animal and plant geographical scenes).
During this time, I just remember words (about 100 words a day), which can take up most of my time. By August, I actually spent about 6 months remembering words! When reviewing awl words in September, I found that I really didn't remember much. The first three months were wasted!
Books used in this part: awl, IELTS vocabulary classics
App: don't recite words
Second, Cambridge IELTS brush questions
In August, time is really pressing for me. When I started to apply for foreign schools in June+February, 5438, I felt that I should have at least IELTS scores, so I finally signed up for the IELTS test, and the time was set at June+February, 5438. But at this time, I haven't had any IELTS-related experience, and I haven't been exposed to its routines. So I began to brush the questions of Cambridge IELTS, first brush 4-6 familiar questions, and then brush 7- 14.
Question:
The method of attending class is wrong-in order to reuse the simple and elegant books, I didn't do the questions directly on them, but in my notebook, which made me have no time to read them! I didn't react until I made sword 7. What I just said is always so wrong. It is much better to do the listening questions directly in the book later, which is also in line with the IELTS test rules (after all, there is still 10 minutes to write the answers on the answer sheet later).
The method of listening practice in the early stage is not right-the material for the practice before the question is BBC6 Minutes English. Although the dry goods inside are slow, they are not suitable for me. I spent a lot of time on them! In listening test, it is better to practice mainly on simple and elegant questions. The BBC can listen properly.
Lack of IELTS reading skills-I didn't set an alarm clock or an hour in the early stage, so I often did it for more than an hour. I don't have enough time to reflect on whether there is a problem with the method of doing the questions. I just want to improve the reading speed, which leads to some questions being done too fast, and sometimes I panic if I can't find the position in the original text.
