Natural Disaster Relief

According to statistics from relevant departments, our country is one of the few countries with the most serious natural disaster losses in the world. In a normal year, the number of people affected by disasters nationwide is about 200 million, and nearly 60 million victims are in need of relief. According to statistics, in 1998 and 2005, direct economic losses due to disasters were RMB 300.7 billion and RMB 204.2 billion respectively.

Promote public welfare culture and build a public welfare platform

In order to promote the professional development of China’s public welfare undertakings and public welfare industries, the One Foundation focuses on the four major areas of “environmental protection, education, poverty alleviation, and health”. In the field of public welfare, the annual “One Foundation Public Welfare Award” award event was launched. The award will select China's top foundations and charities and provide them with grants to help them continue their work and expand their operations. At the same time, One Foundation hopes that through fair and transparent selection, more public welfare organizations can clearly understand the reasons why these public welfare organizations have won the awards, and share and learn from their experiences.

In addition, the One Foundation will also hold an "International Philanthropy Forum" every year, inviting public welfare organizations, well-known enterprises, government officials, and researchers from all over the world to discuss the "environmental protection, education, and Conduct comprehensive exchanges on the four major public welfare themes of "poverty alleviation and health". All donations raised by the One Fund will go directly into the "Jet Li One Fund Plan" account of the Red Cross Society of China. In order to ensure the transparency and credibility of charitable funds, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Certified Public Accountants Co., Ltd. (Deloitte), one of the world's four largest accounting firms, will audit the use of donations.

At the same time, quarterly reports will be published every quarter and annual reports will be published every year to provide the public with a detailed introduction to the fundraising and use of the "One Fund" and sincerely invite the media and the public to participate in supervision.
