Are there any descendants of Xiongnu, Xianbei, Qidan and Xixia?
Most of the descendants of Xianbei people in ancient times merged into the Han nationality, a few merged into the Khitan nationality, and a few evolved into Xibe nationality.
Qidan was also assimilated by the Han nationality. At present, there are descendants of Khitan in Baoshan, Yunnan and parts of Hunan (with DNA comparison), but the country is not sure that the hukou belongs to the Han nationality.
Xixia, the political power established by the Tangut, belongs to a branch of the Qiang nationality in Sichuan, Qinghai and Gansu, and the Qiang nationality still exists today.
The history of Xiongnu is very complicated. It moved westward, part of it was incorporated into Xianbei, and part of it was assimilated by Han nationality. The Huns who moved westward are likely to be assimilated by Bulgarians.
