The College of Animal Science and Technology of Hebei Agricultural University was formerly a training course for animal husbandry and veterinary medicine founded by 1949. 195 1 established animal husbandry and veterinary department, 1995 changed its name to College of Animal Science and Technology. On campus, the college has a 9,000-square-meter teaching laboratory building and seven well-equipped teaching laboratories, including animal biochemistry, animal nutrition and feed science, animal genetics, breeding and reproduction, animal production, basic veterinary medicine, preventive veterinary medicine and clinical veterinary medicine. It has doctor's degree authorization points in animal genetics, breeding and reproduction, animal nutrition and feed science, basic veterinary medicine, clinical veterinary medicine, preventive veterinary medicine, zoology and master's degree authorization points in grassland science. In addition, there are two professional degree granting rights: agricultural extension (breeding field) and master of veterinary medicine; "Animal genetics, breeding and reproduction" and "Animal nutrition and feed science" are key disciplines in Hebei Province. Hebei cattle and sheep embryo engineering technology research center is a provincial key laboratory. The research institutions are Animal Husbandry Engineering Technology Research Institute of Hebei Agricultural University and Daxing Feed Research Institute of Power Science Research Institute of Hebei Agricultural University.
