Why is Texas called the Lone Star State?

Texas was "discovered" by Spanish explorers in the17th century. During the negotiation, the indigenous people (Indians) called themselves "thecas", which was misunderstood by the Spanish as a local place name, so the place name Texas came into being.

Before Mexico's independence (182 1), Texas belonged to Spain and later became a part of Abela, Mexico. 1In the 1920s, a large number of American immigrants poured in, including Sam Houston, a former US Congressman and former governor of Tennessee (therefore, there have been studies saying that the United States supported the invasion). The armed forces led by the former governor, who was born as a soldier, gradually grew, and the sense of local independence increased. Texas finally1March 2, 836 declared its independence and established the Republic of Texas. Mexico will naturally not let go, but after a bloody battle, Mexico was defeated. Texas and China have only one star on their national flags, and then it joined the United States to become the 28th state in the United States, hence the name Lone Star State. In addition, because they joined as a country, they have the legal right to withdraw from the United States Federation.
