Relevant regulations for entry and exit of students studying in the Netherlands

For citizens of the People's Republic of China holding ordinary passports for private purposes and ordinary passports for public purposes, apply for an entry visa to the Netherlands, apply for a short-term (up to 90 days) family visit visa, and apply for a short-term (up to 90 days) family visit visa. Second, apply for a short-term (up to 90 days) business visa

This visa is valid in all Schengen countries: Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Austria and Greece. Application materials must be submitted by the applicant himself.

The following three types of business visas can be issued:

1. One entry and exit, valid for 90 days;

2. Multiple entries and exits, valid for 90 days days;

3. Multiple entries and exits, valid for 1 year, and each exit is valid for 90 days.

To apply for a multiple-entry visa, you need to submit relevant documents to prove that the applicant did frequently travel between the Netherlands and China for business reasons in the past year.

The application can only be processed after the applicant submits the following materials:

- A passport with a validity period of not less than 3 months from the date of return;

- 1 correctly filled and signed visa application form, with 1 ID photo attached;

- A signed and dated invitation letter from the Netherlands, this letter must be clearly marked:

-Whether the inviting party will bear all expenses, including travel expenses and medical insurance;

- Guarantee clause, the inviting party must fully guarantee that the visitor will return to the country on time;

- The name, position, address and phone number of the inviting party.

This invitation letter must be clearly addressed and sent to the applicant’s workplace rather than to the individual.

- A signed and dated dispatch letter issued by the applicant’s employer. This letter must clearly indicate:

-Applicant’s name and position;

-Purpose of visit;

-Date of entry and exit and stay in Schengen countries Deadline;

-Whether the work unit bears all costs;

-The dispatch letter must include the name of the unit, address, signature and contact number of the signer, and be stamped by the unit.

Depending on the circumstances, other materials may also be required.

The application materials will be submitted to the relevant Dutch authorities for further review. The entire work procedure will take 10 working days.

It takes 15 working days to apply for a business visa with multiple entries and exits for one year. Unless the applicant specifically requests it, the Dutch Consulate will retain the applicant's passport while processing the visa.

How to apply for a temporary residence permit (MVV) Anyone who wants to live in the Netherlands for more than 3 months must apply for a temporary stay permit (MVV). This license is only valid within the Netherlands. Applications must be submitted by the applicant himself. The application process takes approximately 3 to 6 months. The application will only be processed after the applicant has submitted the following materials:

- Valid passport;

- 4 visas with photos, completed and signed in English or Dutch Application form;

- A manuscript invitation letter written in English and Dutch;

- Write complete home address, postal code and contact number of family and work unit in Chinese;

- Household register.

Family Reunion

- Certified notarized certificate of kinship, with original relevant certificates attached;

- Certified financial guarantee from the Dutch inviting party;

- A copy of the inviting party’s Dutch passport or Dutch residence permit.

Work

- Copy of a valid work permit issued by the Dutch authorities

Study

- Admission letter from a Dutch university;

- The highest academic degree certificate or the original copy of the diploma, notarized;

- A guarantee certificate issued by a Dutch bank or university. This certificate needs to guarantee the applicant's stay in the Netherlands for at least 12 months Tuition fees, medical insurance and daily expenses are covered within the month. State-appointed personnel should provide written financial guarantees from the Chinese government. Other materials that can prove the applicant's ability to pay for life and study can also be used as a guarantee;

- TOEFL score report.

All notarial certificates need to be recertified by the Dutch Consulate. The certification fee for each document is 45 Dutch guilders, which is paid in RMB based on the exchange rate.

The application materials will be submitted to the Dutch Immigration Service (IND). Once the Dutch Consulate receives a response from the Immigration Service, it will notify the applicant in writing. Once the application is approved, the applicant needs to submit an international travel health certificate to prove that he or she does not suffer from lung disease and other infectious diseases. Additional documents may be required before the visa is approved.
