The accounting profession in Hong Kong can be roughly divided into two categories; 1) Accountant with professional license, and 2) Clerk engaged in general accounting work without professional license. The income difference between the two is multiple. To become a professional certified accountant, you must graduate from the accounting department of English-speaking countries such as Britain, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and pass the professional accountant examination before you can register as a professional accountant in Hong Kong. Therefore, it is unlikely that you will become a certified public accountant in Hongkong, but with your qualifications in China, you can try to apply for an assistant in China Department of various accounting firms. As many accounting firms in Hong Kong now have China business, they need to be familiar with domestic accountants. If you want to pursue further studies, all universities in Hong Kong have off-campus or diploma courses to choose from.
