The base is similar to Mars in the above three aspects, which is why it has become a Mars simulation base.

According to experts, there are precedents for building a Mars simulation base abroad, and the Mars simulation base project has filled the gap in the comprehensive scientific practice education base in the fields of aerospace, astronomy, geography, geology, meteorology and new energy in China.

The base projects include astronomy and space science education, theme leisure vacation, film and television photography, scientific research and simulation training.
