Geographically, Bakhmut is located in the north of Donetsk and the south of Lichchansk.

Artyomovsk (also known as Bakhmut, Bakhmut) is a city in Donetsk, Ukraine, located on the Bakhmut River, a tributary of the right bank of the North Donetsk River.
