This port town in Guangxi is only separated from Vietnam by a river, and you can also eat authentic Vietnamese food.

Dongxing is a port city in Guangxi that leads to Vietnam by land, just across the river from Mang Street in Vietnam. Before that, you can start a one-day tour of Vietnam here.

Before I came here, I didn't understand the relationship between Fangchenggang and Dongxing. Let me give you a brief introduction to Dongxing here. Dongxing is a county-level city under Fangchenggang. You have to go to Fangchenggang first. Fangchenggang mainly watches the sea and eats seafood, while Dongxing's highlight is a one-day trip to Vietnam (suspended during YQ) to experience the exotic customs influenced by Vietnam.

From Fangchenggang to Dongxing, it takes more than an hour by bus. You can take a bus from Fangcheng passenger station or from the port passenger station. Fangchenggang North Station also has a direct bus to Dongxing.

I thought Dongxing didn't play much. After all, I can't go to Vietnam for a day trip during YQ now. Basically, I finished swimming in one day, and I don't want to take another box from Fangchenggang to Dongxing. But it turns out that one day is really not enough. I strongly recommend that you stay in Dongxing for at least one night. Let's talk about my play and food experience here in detail.

Dongxing must punch in at two places, one is Wanzhong International Wholesale Market and the other is the port, which are next to each other. Dongxing is a small city as a whole, and there are many motorcycles, all of which are motorcycles. Without a bicycle, riding a motorcycle will be very convenient, and the distance from the passenger station to the port is not far.

As for Wanzhong International Wholesale Market, I was full of expectations before I went, because I had been to Vietnam before and some Vietnamese snacks were quite good, so I wanted to bring some from Dongxing.

But I was a little disappointed after I went. How can I put it? Is it used to cheat people who have never been to Vietnam? I don't know whether it has always been like this, or whether it was caused by the lack of communication between the two countries during YQ. I can only say that I felt it this time.

I read on the Internet that there are many Vietnamese specialties, but in fact, many things on the market are not made in Vietnam, but in China, and maybe not even one tenth of them are made in Vietnam.

But the price of every store here is fairly uniform. Basically, the price difference of the same snacks will not be too big. I bought yogurt recommended by many people online, which is far from the yogurt I drank in Vietnam. It tastes like saccharin and additives and can be preserved for a long time at room temperature. Who knows how much preservative it put in.

Many products such as dried mango, coconut sugar, durian sugar and cashew nuts are also produced in China. I bought a plate of coconut candy. No matter where it was made, it tasted ok. Durian is just like sugar.

Therefore, if you are thinking of going to Dongxing to buy Vietnamese specialties, I suggest you give up and have a look. In addition, don't buy durian near the port, you'd better buy it in the local market.

Out of Wanzhong International Wholesale Market, it is the gate of Dongxing Port. Standing here, you can see Vietnam across the river.

Before YQ, the ports were all open. Here, you can also take a day trip to Mang Street, cross the street and take the bridge below.

Now that the port is temporarily closed, we can only have a brief look. Positioning the boundary pillar of Qinzhou in Qing Dynasty, the other side of the road is a high wall, the river outside the high wall is the boundary river between the two countries, and the other side of the river is Vietnam.

Standing in the harbor, you can see several buildings in Vietnam. On our side, there are iron fences to prevent people from crossing the river.

This feeling that another country is close at hand is really wonderful. Although I have been to other countries before, it is really the first time that Dongxing is so close. Before I went to Manzhouli, I had to pay for going abroad, so I didn't go there.

Although we can't take a one-day tour of Vietnam now, if you come, you might as well stay in a hotel next to the port for one night. Upstairs can directly overlook the opposite Vietnam, and now the price is relatively cheap. You can stay in a Vietnamese city view room in 400 yuan for 300, or a five-star hotel. The better Ramada floor has a better view, and the cheaper Vienna can see the urban landscape on the other side.

I'm sorry to tell you the truth, because my luggage is still in Fangchenggang and I can't come to Dongxing the next day, so I can't experience the scenery of Vietnam from a height. It should be interesting.

After talking about Dongxing's play, let's talk about the food here. If you want to eat Vietnamese flavor, you must stay in Dongxing for a few more days. Fangchenggang is an immigrant city. Not only can Vietnamese food be compared with Dongxing, but the overall food is not as distinctive as Dongxing.

There are many Vietnamese restaurants in Dongxing. Because of the time, I only punched in three times, so I'm not particularly clear about the level of Vietnamese food here.

I always thought that the flour here would be influenced by Vietnam. There are many beef noodles. It turns out that the specialty here is chicken powder.

Floret's chicken powder and a third sister's chicken powder are recommended online. Although not as famous as Sister Hua, it is said that locals prefer it.

I went to eat both of them, and the third sister I met on the way to floret was lucky enough to have a taste first. In contrast, Sister Hua's chicken is too strong and hard. Personally, I prefer Third Sister's chicken powder. Chicken soup is fresh but not fishy, and the powder is softer. I ate all the powder and soup.

There are two things like eating powder here in Vietnam. One is to squeeze lemon juice instead of vinegar. I especially like this pure natural fruit sour taste when eating powder. The second is to add a lot of lettuce leaves, and some stores add lettuce leaves themselves.

Although I don't like Sister Hua's family, there are indeed many locals in his family.

I also ordered his Vietnamese baguette, because I have eaten it in Vietnam before, so I am looking forward to it. Although it looks good, it looks good. . emm .。 French baguette and Vietnamese baguette are completely different things. I don't understand why the bread outside is fried.

In addition, the Vietnamese spring rolls in Dongxing are also worth a try, one yuan each, which is more cost-effective.

I also ate a crab powder in Dongxing, which is more Vietnamese than chicken powder. It is very fresh. A group of people made an appointment with a coffee shop in 22 yuan. Besides crab meat, there are shrimps and shrimps. When serving, the side dishes and sauces are placed in Vietnam.

The set meal also includes a glass of watermelon juice. Watermelon juice is pure and sweet, without water. In addition, the environment here is also good.

By the way, there is also a dessert store in Dongxing called Yi Zhong Sugar Store, which is a chain store in Dongxing. The price is not expensive either. In Guangxi, I really want to drink several glasses of sugar water every day.

I don't have much say in Dongxing's food. I wonder if you have any delicious recommendations. It's too soon to go back and forth in one day. I hope to stay here for a few more days if there is an opportunity.

In addition, remember to buy tickets back to Fangchenggang in advance when you go to Dongxing. This seems to be the last bus at five o'clock, and the destination is Fangchenggang North Station. I went to Fangchenggang Bus Terminal earlier than this, but I didn't expect it. I almost missed the bus back to Fangchenggang.
