What's the difference between the Philippine National Bureau of Investigation and the Immigration Bureau?

National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and Immigration Bureau are two different government agencies with different responsibilities and powers.

NBI is a law enforcement agency with extensive investigation powers, mainly dealing with some special cases, such as imitation cases.

BI is an administrative organization, which is mainly responsible for implementing immigration laws and regulations and handling immigration affairs, such as visa procedures and arresting illegal immigrants.

Therefore, although these two institutions are related to national security and border protection in the Philippines, their responsibilities and authorities are different.
