U.S. work visa application requirements

Legal analysis: Unless you are engaged in short-term work, you should apply for a work visa in the United States. It is mainly divided into H, L, O, P, and Q work visas. Each visa corresponds to different application conditions. Most Short-term work visas require the U.S. employer or agency preparing to hire the applicant to submit a petition and obtain approval from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) before they can apply for a work visa. All H, L, O, P and Q visa applicants must submit application approval documents to USCIS in their own name and obtain approval. After the application approval document and Form I-129 are approved, the applicant can apply for a work visa to the embassy/consulate. After the application is approved, the applicant's employer or agency will be issued Form I-797 (Approval Notice) as proof of application. The visa officer will verify the applicant's approval documents through the U.S. Department of State's Application Information Management System (PIMS) during the interview. Applicants should present their I-129 approval number during the interview at the embassy/consulate for verification of their information. Please note that application approval does not serve as a guarantee for obtaining a visa, and applicants may still be denied a visa because they do not comply with U.S. immigration laws.
