The Historical Evolution of lunan district

During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, lunan district immigrated from Zaoshuzhuang, and gradually became a village.

In the Qing Dynasty, with the construction of Kaiping Mining Bureau, commerce and trade gathered in the mountains and became increasingly prosperous.

By the 1930s, it had become the birthplace of Tangshan.

1949 is the second, third and sixth districts of Tangshan city.

Lunan district was formed by the merger of 1955 (built in 1952), so it was named after being located in the south of Jingshan Railway.
