20 19 Australia's new visa policy arrangement
Skilled immigrants 1. New scoring rules for skilled immigrants 1. Sub-applications get extra points.
2. Research-oriented education adds points.
3. Introduce a new 4 19 visa for remote areas to replace the current 489 visa.
Under the new rules, applicants' scores are generally improved. If the entrance score of 65 points is not changed in the future, more applicants will be able to meet the entrance criteria.
For the applicants of state insurance skilled immigrants, the reform is undoubtedly a great advantage on the premise that most state insurance applicants only need to reach the pool entry score and meet the guarantee requirements.
For ordinary skilled immigrants, those whose spouses have no English/skills will be at a disadvantage in scoring.
2. Two new visas for remote areas Two new visas were officially announced, namely, 49 1 for sponsored skilled migrants in remote areas (replacing the current 489 visa) and 494 visa sponsored by employers in remote areas (replacing the current 187 visa).
Both visas are temporary visas, valid for 5 years. After meeting the requirements of working and living for three years, you can change it into a permanent green card visa.
The new visa will introduce four new visa terms:
Articles 1 and 8578, if the holder has any information change, including e-mail address, telephone number and passport employer address, he must notify the immigration bureau within 14 days.
2,8579, the applicant may not be able to apply for other types of skilled immigrant visas within 3 years.
3. Article 8580. If required, the applicant must provide: residential address, employer address, work address and study course address within 28 days.
Clause 858 1. The visa holder will have an interview if necessary.
The new visa will be implemented on1October 201916, and the 489 and 187 visas submitted before this date will continue to be handled according to the old policy.
As can be seen from the newly introduced terms, the new remote area visa may be subject to stricter monitoring to ensure that the applicant can really work and live in the local area within three years. At the same time, it also prevents applicants from using the new visa as a springboard to apply for a one-stop permanent skilled immigrant visa. If you want to get permanent residency through a new visa, you still have to live and work honestly for three years.
Spouse visa reform began on April 20 17 19. The new reform aims to protect the insured from domestic violence. According to the new requirements, the application for spouse visa will be divided into two steps. First, the guarantor applies for sponsorship qualification. Only after passing the guarantor qualification examination (including past criminal record) can his spouse submit a spouse visa.
The biggest impact of this change is the uncertainty of the trial time and requirements of the guarantee qualification. Especially for applicants who hold short-term visas in China and need to submit their spouses' visas immediately. Therefore, for such applicants, submitting an application before the change must be the best solution.
Long-term visa for new parents
New parents with a 3-year /5-year long-term visa in 870 will also accept their application for child sponsorship on April 17, 2065438, and open their visa application on July 1 7. A child sponsor needs to meet the following requirements:
1, Australia's four-year residence requirement (including temporary visa and permanent residence), during which there can be no overstaying record;
2. Need to meet the income test, that is, the pre-tax income of the previous fiscal year should not be less than 83,454.80 USD.
Remarks: Pre-tax income of applicants who meet the guarantee conditions can be obtained by comparing the following items:
(1) Pre-tax income of the guarantor's spouse (2) Eligible children meet the above income requirements.
The bill also makes it clear that the fiscal year that meets the income requirements refers to "the latest fiscal year before submitting the guarantee application".
Okay, do you understand? If there are any visa types you need to apply for, then remember these changed information and wish you a smooth application!
