When is the priority date for American immigrants?

Every month, the visa office of the US Immigration Bureau announces the quota schedule of various immigrant visas. In this way, foreigners can apply for I-485 status adjustment if their immigration application has been approved and the priority date is earlier than the scheduled date in the corresponding immigration category.

Among professional immigrants, if applying for a work permit is a prerequisite for immigration application, like most EB-2 and all EB-3 immigration applications, the priority date is the date when American employers submit their work permit applications to the Labor Bureau.
