If you want to go abroad after graduation, you should first take the TOEFL or IELTS test. If you are a business major, you also need to take the GMAT. But if you go to Australia, you don’t need to take the G test. Some top-ranked schools in the UK also require the G test since 2008.
I am an accounting major and now I am studying in Canada. This is how I came all the way, and I considered many countries. Let me talk about the pros and cons first.
1. The United States is of course the first choice for studying abroad. However, there are too many colleges and universities in the United States, and the teaching level is uneven. It is difficult to apply for relatively good schools, and scholarships are even more useless for business students. In addition, tuition fees in the United States are relatively high. If you go to universities in some central or western cities, they are slightly lower. In more developed cities in the east, tuition fees and living expenses are relatively high. Another point is that the elimination rate of good business schools has been very high in recent years, so students are under a lot of pressure. If they don't work very hard, they may not be able to graduate.
2. United Kingdom. First, the academic system is too short. In the past few years, a master's degree could be graduated in one year. Now many schools have changed it to one and a half years. But if you think about it carefully, many people go to a strange country and adapt to different language environments and Living environment requires half a year or even a year. How much can you really learn in one and a half years? This is really hard to say. Second, the issue of tuition fees is also a big expense.
3. Northern Europe. I advise you to give up considering it. There are no good schools suitable for studying finance.
4. Australia, if you only want to study for one year, Australia is a good choice. Accounting is still in short supply there, and it is easy to immigrate after graduation and working. And it’s relatively easy to apply.
5. Canada, to be honest, I came here not because of the quality of the school, but mainly because I wanted to immigrate here in the future, and it is relatively safe and the environment is very good. However, the quality of education in North America is generally higher than that of many other countries and regions.
On the other hand, applying to schools not only depends on GPA, but also requires letters of recommendation and PS. Some schools also require writing a research proposal, so if you are sure you want to go abroad, you should first get the necessary language scores before applying. Consider which country to choose, and then slowly choose a school after deciding on the country.
