The meaning of place names

In 1907 AD, Liu Jingzhong, the head of the Liu clan, came from Chu in memory of the great ancestor of the Han Dynasty, Liu Bang, who defeated Xiang Yu. When Liu was promoted, Chu'an was named the place.

Historical evolution

Chu'an Village was first called Cao_. During the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty, Liu Hongzhang, the founder of the Liu surname, moved to Cao_ from Daban Road in Badu (today's Dongyang Corner of Dade Village). It is called "Osaka Road" from its original residence. In 1907 AD, Liu Jingzhong, the leader of the Liu family, came from Chu land to commemorate the victory of Liu Bang, the founder of the Han Dynasty, after defeating Xiang Yu. Liu was then named Chu'an. From the Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of the Ninth and Tenth Capital Districts. From 1936 to 1939, it belonged to Chu'anbao, Daxi Experimental Township. From 1946 to 1949, it merged with Dali to form Dalibao. After the founding of New China, it belonged to the Fifth District, Seventh District, Dazhong Township and Dali. The township was called Chu'an Brigade when it was transformed into a commune in 1958. In 1984, it was changed to Chu'an Village Committee, and the village committee is located on Daban Road.

Administrative affiliation and geographical location

Chu'an Village is located 3.6 kilometers northwest of the Dapu Town Government Residency and 500 meters away from Dapu Street. It has Dayu Line Highway and the provincial highway "Three Suburbs" "Line" highway passes through the village and is connected to the surrounding villages respectively, so the transportation is convenient. It is adjacent to Dade Village in the east, Xiyuan Village in the west, Dali Village in the south and Qianfeng Village in the north.

There is no scorching heat in summer or severe cold in winter, and the climate in Chu'an Village is mild and cool, but the four seasons are distinct. The annual average temperature is about 20 degrees Celsius, and the annual precipitation is 1,450 millimeters. The villagers are engaged in planting, construction, craftsmanship, business, labor, transportation, processing and other industries. They are rich in fruits such as tangerines, bananas, peaches, loquats, strawberries, sugar cane, etc., and forestry including fir, pine, moso bamboo and miscellaneous trees. Mushrooms, straw mushrooms and other edible fungi, as well as a large number of various vegetables, are engaged in cultivating various flowers and seedlings, and setting up tea processing factories, clothing processing factories, and incense factories. Yongchun County Dapu Xinda Cement Co., Ltd. and Yongchun County Miaoxiang Industrial City have settled in our village. The annual per capita income of villagers was 7,339 yuan in 2009.

Near Chu'an Village are tourist attractions such as Niumulin Ecological Tourism Area, Penghu Baizhang Rock, Yongchun Snow Mountain, Xiandong Puji Scenic Area, and Beixi Wenyuan Scenic Area. There are Yongchun old vinegar, Yongchun tangerine, Yongchun bergamot tea, Ashan lychee, Yongchun white Muscovy duck and other specialties.
