What documents are required to apply for a study visa in the UK under 18?
Original birth certificate
All students under the age of 18 must submit the original birth certificate (or official certificate or adoption certificate) as part of the visa materials; Applying for a T4 student visa may require an interview.
Relationship proof
Students must also provide proof of their relationship with their parents or guardians. Acceptable documents include one of the original (or public certificate) of the student's birth certificate, adoption certificate or legal guardian certificate issued by the court.
Parental consent
ParentalConsent requires both parents to sign together or the legal guardian to confirm the specified content.
Interview possibility
According to UKVI's New Deal, when students apply for T4 visas, they may be arranged for interviews to prove that they really want to study in the UK. The interview may be conducted by telephone or face to face. If the interview preparation is not sufficient, the student's identity may be questioned and the visa application may not be approved.
