The history of the earth Federation

The Earth Federation is a fictional country in the comic book Gundam, which was founded in A.D. 1999. Its original intention is to eliminate war and poverty, overcome the crisis of resources and environment, and build a better and more promising human society. Therefore, since its establishment, the federal government of the earth has spared no effort to implement the human space immigration plan. In 2045, the first space colony was built in low-earth orbit above the equator, and the first humans moved into space. The federal government announced that the year 2046 opened a new era and renamed it the Cosmic Century, or UC for short.

However, there is always a dark side. At the beginning of the Earth Federation, it developed at the expense of the interests of "some people". On the last day of this century, that is, New Year's Eve, Ricardo Mathenas, the first prime minister of the federal government, held a grand exchange ceremony on the "Laplace" space station, the prime minister's residence in low earth orbit. The pro-Mathernas heads of state of the Federation gathered together, and countless media reporters broadcast the whole ceremony live to the world. However, this grand ceremony has become the beginning of a bloody new century. Just as the countdown to the new century ended and the world ushered in the new century, the entire Laplace space station exploded violently. Including Prime Minister Ma senas himself, representatives of various countries and bureaucrats were involved in the explosion together with the security forces around the space station, and no one was spared. Afterwards, the federal government, which lost its prime minister and several important officials, immediately reshuffled its cabinet, declared the whole incident a terrorist incident, slogan "Remember Laplace", thoroughly cracked down on the anti-government movement, and wiped out the separatist movement and the countries that supported them with powerful military force. In the following decades, the federal government launched a larger-scale colonial plan, and successively set up large-scale space enterprises such as space immigration commune and colonial construction management commune, and built a number of quality accelerators on the earth. From UC000 1 to UC0079, the federal government successively built seven colonial satellite constellations, namely side 1-side7, at five Lagrangian points (L 1-L5) in the Earth-Moon system. Each colonial satellite constellation has 30-40 islands and 3 colonies. According to different colonial types, scales and environments, each satellite constellation can accommodate 60. By the time the war broke out in UC0079, the population of the whole earth circle had reached 1 10 billion, of which nearly 9 billion people lived in space colonies.

However, the federal government gradually deteriorated in the long years. Its ruling class forced the poor to emigrate to space, living in a drum with less environment and conditions than the earth, but enjoying the beautiful natural environment of the earth. Ignoring the fact that most human beings have emigrated to the universe and become residents of the universe, and adopting double tax and financial standards for the residents of the universe and the residents of the earth, the fact that a few people in the earth control the federal government and rule, oppress and exploit the majority of the people in the universe has led to an increasing contradiction between the residents of the universe and the residents of the earth. Some of them are eager to move, trying to use the contradiction between the earth and the universe to seek political interests. Finally, it led to the outbreak of the war in 0079, the biggest tragedy in human history, and the political turmoil and war that lasted almost the whole century of the universe. In UC0220, after a long war, the Earth Federation finally failed to support its battered body, declared its disintegration, returned sovereignty to the participating countries, and legally gave all parties and all countries on earth equal political status. Mankind finally ended the war and ushered in its own liberation and new development. Since then, the story of orthodox Gundam has come to an end.
